Shoot your certification assignment
A complete practice shoot, focused on technique and camera settings
The end of the photography course asks you to submit a test shoot. You can shoot it at:
- Your personal house, or any home you have access to, if you feel ready
- Or submit photos from your tandem shoots
Either way, your certification must be cleared before you're cleared for solo shooting.
The assignment is focused on technique and camera settings - putting into practice what you learned in the course content. It's OK if the home is not show-ready; know this is practice.
Key things to focus on:
- Take at least 25 photos - interior and exterior with good room variety. This should be a complete practice shoot.
- All camera settings need to be exactly as they dictate in the training course.
ZERO tripod movement between exposures. This is one of the biggest things the reviewers check - lock the tripod down and don't touch it between brackets.
Submit your photos
Two places, then mark this step done
When your test shoot is ready, submit the link in both places:
- Submit your test photos link through NDP Learning, where the course asks for it.
- Post the same link in your Slack support channel so the local team can see it.
You'll continue tandem shooting until BOTH the NDP Product team approves your certification through the learning platform AND our local Atlanta team gives the green light. At that point you're cleared for solo shooting and earn a $100 bonus.
Certification assignment submitted
Nice work! Keep tandem shooting while it's reviewed. Once the NDP Product team approves your certification and the Atlanta team gives the green light, you're cleared for solo shooting - and that's a $100 bonus. Questions? Message your Slack support channel.
